SEQ 01Why Layover exists

Variable pay is half the story.

Roughly half of a cabin crew salary moves every month — hourly flight pay, commission, overtime, holiday. Payroll knows. You should too.

01

Half your pay is variable. Nobody explains the maths.

Base salary is the easy half. Hourly flight pay, commission, overtime, holiday accrual — they move every month and no payslip walks you through how.

02

Block, duty, paid — they're not the same number.

Your roster shows duty hours. Payroll uses paid hours. Sector pay rides on block hours. Layover keeps them straight so you can check what was actually counted.

03

Commission and overtime hit a month late.

Onboard sales in November show up in December's payslip. Overtime can be one month or two. By the time it arrives you've forgotten which trip it came from.

04

Holiday pay is a rolling average. Nobody explains that either.

Holiday pay is calculated against your last 52 weeks of variable earnings. It changes every time you take leave. We do the maths so you know what a day off is worth.

SEQ 02The flow

Three steps. Pay day, decoded.

Layover doesn't replace your payslip. It tells you, in advance, what's about to be on it — and how each line was reached.

Step 01LOG-DUTY
01

Log your duties.

Tap a duty in, or paste a roster line. Layover reads sectors, block hours, and duty hours — the inputs your contract actually pays on.

Step 02RUN-PAY
02

Layover does the maths.

Hourly flight pay, commission, overtime, holiday accrual — calculated against your contract's rules, not a generic formula.

Step 03PAY-DAY
03

See pay day before pay day.

A live monthly gross, variance to last month, year-to-date. So when the payslip lands, none of it's a surprise.

SEQ 03What's inside today

The bits of pay that move.

Every component of variable pay — calculated against your contract's rules, not a generic formula.

HOURLY

Hourly flight pay.

Sector pay by block hour, paid hour, or duty hour — whichever your contract uses. Per route, per rate, automatically.

COMMISSION

Onboard commission.

Log sales, see the commission credited. Cleared into the month it pays, not the month it happened.

OVERTIME

Overtime, your contract.

Configure the rules once. Layover applies them every month — not a generic time-and-a-half.

HOLIDAY

Holiday pay accrual.

Rolling 52-week average, tracked live. Take a day off and see what it was actually worth.

FORECAST

Forecast before payday.

A live monthly gross. Variance to last month. Year-to-date. Quiet, accurate, ahead of payroll.

EXPORT

Export anywhere.

PDF export. Self-assessment ready. Your accountant will not need a briefing.

SEQ 05Built by crew

Made between sectors, in the hotel, at the gate.

I'm Billy. I've been cabin crew for five years across two airlines, and I built Layover because nobody could ever explain to me, properly, what was about to be on my payslip.

Layover isn't a fintech with crew on the box. It's the other way around. Every decision in here was made by someone doing the job — on the way back from doing it.
